Más de dos millones de habitantes de la Gran Caracas serán beneficiados con la rehabilitación integral de la Planta Potabilizadora La Guairita, ubicada en el estado Miranda, la cual forma parte del Sistema Hídrico Nacional.
“Hemos rehabilitado completamente esta Planta Potabilizadora “Ciudad Caracas”, conocida como La Guairita, que beneficiará a los habitantes de los municipios: El Hatillo, Chacao, Sucre, y parte de Baruta y Libertador”, informó el vicepresidente Sectorial de Obras Públicas y Servicios, G/J Néstor Reverol.
Resaltó que con su recuperación se genera una producción de 4500 litros por segundo, que podrá aumentar su producción hasta los 7.500 litros por segundo, para sumar un total de 17 millones de litros del vital líquido diarios para Caracas.
“Esta planta potabilizadora interconectada con el Sistema Tuy II, es surtida con las fuentes de aguas: Taguaza, Taguacita, Quebrada Seca y Lagartijo; y fue recuperada en su totalidad por la fuerza trabajadora”, destacó Reverol Torres.
Asimismo, manifestó que la adecuación de esta infraestructura responde a los compromisos adquiridos en el Congreso Nacional de Servicios Públicos, que incluyó la entrega de 15 vehículos de flota liviana, pesada y maquinaria para el sistema hídrico en el país, agregó.
Igualmente, se dotó de 99 partes, piezas y herramientas para seguir fortaleciendo a la fuerza trabajadora de Hidrocapital.
