Néstor Reverol Torres es designado nuevo ministro de Energía Eléctrica
Caracas, 26 de octubre de 2020 (Prensa MPPEE).- El Presidente de la República Bolivariana de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, designó al General en Jefe (G/J), Néstor Reverol Torres, como nuevo Ministro del Poder Popular para la Energía Eléctrica.
Al respecto, el Presidente Maduro señaló que el nombramiento se realiza con el fin de seguir “avanzando en el fortalecimiento de Corpoelec”, así como “vencer la guerra contra el G4RP que ha saboteado el sistema eléctrico, junto al imperialismo durante estos últimos años (2019-2020), y seguir haciendo las inversiones y recuperaciones”.
Por otra parte, el Primer Mandatario, recalcó que el General Reverol es un “conocedor, estudioso y experto en el tema y quien viene ejerciendo la vicepresidencia de Gobierno para los Servicios Públicos… Creo que llegó el momento de que se pusiera al frente del Ministerio de Energía Eléctrica con toda su experiencia”.
Asimismo, el Jefe de Estado agradeció al G/J Néstor Reverol por su dedicación durante cuatro años (2016-2020) ante el Ministerio del Poder Popular para las Relaciones Interiores Justicia y Paz donde contribuyó con la construcción del Sistema de Cuadrantes de Paz.
El General Reverol continuará como Vicepresidente Sectorial de Obras Públicas y Servicios, VPSOPS.

Fue director de la Oficina Nacional Antidrogas (ONA) en el 2009
El 13 de octubre del 2012, el comandante Hugo Chávez lo designa Ministro del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores y Justicia. Ejerció el cargo hasta el 21 de abril de 2013.
Estuvo a cargo del Viceministerio de Prevención y Seguridad Ciudadana.
En mayo de 2014 asumió la subdirección del Servicio Bolivariano de Inteligencia Nacional (Sebin).
Se desempeñó como Comandante General de la Guardia Nacional Bolivariana desde el 27 de octubre de 2014 hasta el 7 de julio de 2016.
El 2 de agosto de 2016 es designado, nuevamente, como Ministro del Poder Popular para Relaciones Interiores, Justicia y Paz, cargo que desempeña hasta octubre de 2020.
