Por ello, señaló que es necesario que la Corporación trabaje de manera mancomunada con las gobernaciones y alcaldías del país, bajo sus ordenanzas municipales, en las que se establecen el mantenimiento preventivo en el control de vegetación, todo esto bajo las permisología ambiental y respetando la conservación de las especies.
“Es todo un trabajo de inspección e ingeniería forestal que hacemos a lo largo y ancho del país para controlar estas especies y así evitar algunas situaciones que puedan afectar el buen funcionamiento del Sistema Eléctrico Nacional”, afirmó Betancourt.
Plan Pica y Poda
En ese sentido, destacó que este control de vegetación cuenta con el Plan Pica y Poda, programa impulsado por la Corporación Eléctrica Nacional (Corpoelec), ente adscrito al Ministerio del Poder Popular para la Energía Eléctrica (Mppee).
En dicho plan están desplegados más 6 mil hombres y mujeres con sus respectivos implementos necesarios para realizar el desmalezamientos en las líneas de transmisión, subestaciones y plantas de generación ubicadas en todo el país.
